We’ve seen a huge growth in the number of camps we’re doing and that’s an exciting step forward. Also the number of children attending each camp now has grown from an average of 15-20 kids to 30-40. In order to sustain this we need to raise some funds for our camp ministry. This summer we’ll get to share the Gospel with 400 orphan kids and we’d love you to play part in that! Camps are safe environment for the kids to be vulnerable with a camp councillor. Where we get to speak into their lives and share the hope we have in Christ. For some kids it may be the only time they hear the gospel and realise there’s an alternative to the life they are now leading. ...More Information
As the Hand of Hope project has grown, we feel now is the time to employ a Czech worker. Currently the work is being lead by 3 foreigners and a group of Czech volunteers – mainly students. As the work continues to grow and communication becomes even more important we would like to employ a worker to lead the Hand of Hope project through the nations. Our vision is that by 2020 we would like to be working in 50 orphanages across the whole country, seeing around 1500 kids on a monthly basis. In order to achieve this vision we feel it’s important to strengthen what we all ready have through a full-time worker. From there we want to establish 5 regions each running their own Hand of Hope work. If you have a passion for orphan ministry and would like to support a full-time worker as part of our leadership team we encourage you to get in touch, see info below. ...More Information
Friends of Hand of Hope, we’ve an exciting opportunity for you to get involved! As the number of homes increase we’re struggling to visit them as regularly as we’d like and the solution would be to add an extra vehicle on the road. Three of the homes are within a 1 hour driving distance and the others, little over 2 hours. Visiting the homes is a very important part of the a Hand of Hope project, we don’t want to stop at just doing camps. We want to build on those relationships we’ve already established and also we want to help prepare the kids for life after the home. One opportunity we have is to teach English in each of the homes, it’s a desirable skill for employment here in Czech and something where we can show the practical love of Christ. In order to facilitate this we would need an additional car and we’d like to present it to you as an opportunity to get involved. If you’d...More Information
